Natalie was born and raised in Los Angeles. At 18 she left home to live, work, and travel abroad, which quickly drew her to international social justice work. After working as a human rights attorney for 10 years and seeing the gender inequality in the coffee industry, she returned to her hometown to create a company that combines her love of coffee with her passion for social justice. In addition to travel, Natalie is a big fan of cycling, woodcut printing, and camping.

Erika is excited and honored to join Cafecita, to lend her passion and support for mission-driven economic development models and community building. Deeply inspired by her family, she has dedicated her life to advancing racial justice for low-income communities of color. She splits her time between California and Mexico and loves big earrings, salsa dancing, nature, and elotes.

Samantha is a third culture woman whose love for California brought her home after 10 years of living in Brooklyn. She is a trained translator who loves to write and think of creative ways to dismantle the patriarchy. She loves artful things, the NBA, cooking and mixology. Samantha is proud to be included in this lovely venture and excited for what’s to come. She credits Natalie for her discovery and love for travel.

Krystal was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and has spent time living throughout California, in Mexico City, and in New York City. She’s a child of Mexican immigrants and a proud Latina who is passionate about doing what it takes to lift one another up. With the appreciation that community building is the core of our social fabric, she is excited for this endeavor to build bridges and opportunities for all involved. Being among loved ones, salsa dancing, trying new foods, and beach volleyball are among her most loved pastimes.

Da Hae is a creative digital nomad who loves cafe culture and going to coffeeshops wherever she visits. She connects to the idea of community space and inclusivity that Cafecita aims to create. Her love for coffee began just like that—through exploring cafes and drinking coffee with her partner in different countries to start the day. Da Hae is passionate about living a joyful life as much as possible and practicing compassion towards everyone, including animals.

Briana is thrilled to join Cafecita as it brings together her passion for social justice and coffee. Born and raised in New York, she is proud to call New York home. She is an attorney in New York City Family Court and is committed to defending the rights of young people. She is a huge fan of cats, maps, traveling for food, and KEXP. She is inspired by the amazing women partnering with Cafecita and looks forward to working with them.
